About Us
We're a headhunting firm based in California. We work with startups to build sales teams, from individual contributors to leaders, who can actually sell. We focus on software, SaaS, and tech companies where hiring mistakes are expensive. That's it.
Why We're Different
Shokunin, a Japanese word for a craftsperson who approaches their work with disciplined pride in mastering the basics. While recruiting isn't rocket science, we believe in doing the fundamentals exceptionally well every time, quality, discipline, and relentless focus on what truly matters: people.
Quality Over Volume
We're selective because we believe in genuine fit over volume. We'll assess if we can help you, and if we can't, we’ll point you in a better direction.
Searches Built for You
Some recruiters juggle 5 - 10 roles simultaneously or work across different functions. We do sales only and work on fewer searches.
Honest Updates
No sugarcoating or empty check-ins. When there's progress, you'll know. When there are challenges, you'll know that too.
How Sharp Search Partners Began
out story
Sharp Search Partners started from a simple belief: hiring should be clear, honest, and purposeful. We saw too many searches dragged out by unclear processes and mismatched expectations. Our mission became straightforward - cut through the noise and connect the right people with the right roles.

Meet Our Founder
Kerry Kudrat
Kerry founded Sharp Search Partners after years of building engineering and product teams for U.S. tech companies in Tokyo. He realized something important while bringing that same precision to U.S. startup recruiting: he actually loves to sell.
Rather than stick with what was comfortable, Kerry decided to focus exclusively on placing sales professionals. And his theory is simple: it takes someone who sells to spot the difference between candidates who can close deals and those who just sound good in interviews.
